Hello, I am currently facing to very specific problem. I bought Genesis DLC via Origin and I am not able to start new game since I installed DLC. I have downloaded Genesis via Origin and properly installed it.
Upon clicking on game icon it was not able to run at all (I had to repair game via Origin right click menu) 3. Then game successfully started, I was able to 'play' until Shepard's floating in space. Then Genesis splash screen appeared for few seconds. Right after Genesis splash screen vanished game turns in black screen with some ambient sound in backroung. Since this point I am unable to do anything with game, even return to main menu via ESC button does not work. The only way how 'kill' game is to use windows task manager. I was curious what should be wrong so I tried to search a bit over the internet and I found it may be problem with registering game content on Bioware social network.
So I opend the Bioware social network and found out that Genesis is not listed in my registered game content (which is really strange) because game itself shows that Genesis is available when I run game via Origin or when I log in to EA account directly in game menu. I would really apreciate if anyone can help me to get it working (even without genesis) because now I can't start new game at all. And at least one more information, I bought Genesis DLC also with Genesis 2 which is properly listed in my registered game content on Bioware social network.
Is currently for all members of Electronic Arts’ Origin distribution platform. Windows PC copies of the critically acclaimed game’s Standard Edition are “on the house” for a limited time, requiring only an Origin account to grab one. This is the second time Electronic Arts has given Mass Effect 2 away for free in recent weeks., the publisher offered the game for a short period of time, although it didn’t appear to be a part of the Origin on the House promotion. Mass Effect 2 typically costs $19.99 for the Standard Edition, while the Deluxe Edition, which includes a soundtrack, digital comic, art book and bonus weapons, costs $29.99. For those who have yet to try the Mass Effect games, this may be a good chance to do so.
The franchise’s upcoming entry is coming off a big week, during which Electronic Arts and developer BioWare revealed it’s long-awaited release date. The PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One game will launch on in North America.

I know this has been asked a lot but I cant seem to find a solution that fixes my problem. Let em run you through it. I want to play the ME2 DLC. EA/Bioware made this a ♥♥♥♥♥ to do. I look thru forums and EA support to see how I can get the DLC on steam.
I am told to go to the Bioware social network and register my cerberus key. Well, its 2018, and the Bioware social network doesnt exist anymore. I get directed to this website:.
This gives me download links for all of the DLC's, but doesn't request me to pay anything so I'm a bit suspicious. It is an offiicial EA webiste so I go ahead and try it. I downloaded the DLCs 'Genesis' and 'Lair of the Shadow Broker' to see if it works. I get them installed and open ME2 through steam, and I get a message saying that I need to log into a Cerberus Network account that is authorised with those DLCs. I log into MY CN key and nothing happens.
I load into my save file of the game and nothing happens. I look on origin to see if you can just buy the DLC there, but you can only buy a bundle of all the DLCs. You can still buy 'bioware points,' but not the individual DLCs. All of the EA support and steam forums I could find are a bit out of date and tell me to go to the Bioware Social Network.
I cant find a solution on Youtube. Basically I just want to get the DLC I want, with as little hassle as possible. If you know how to do it, please let me know.

You can register your game keys at under My Account Redeem Product Code. 1 - Log in to the Origin Store with your Cerberus account credentials (it's your EA account login, they're the same). 2 - Purchase www.origin.com (it contains all DLC for Mass Effect 2). This will register them to your account.

Note to old-timers: this is new, EA added this pack (and a similar one for Mass Effect 3) to the Origin store over the holidays. At this time it is still possible to purchase single DLC via BioWare Points, but not possible to purchase single DLC otherwise. 3 - Install the DLC that you want from (yes, that is EA's site, and it is legit). 4 - Since all the DLC are now registered to your account, the DLC will verify and you can play them on Steam. If you just wish to play the DLC that came with your game, register your keys at under My Account Redeem Product Code.
Then download the DLC you're entitled to from the link in Step 3, and after installing them, the DLC should verify. I recommend registering your keys with EA before doing this.
